Common Problems

Research has shown that Chiropractic care can be beneficial with some of these more common problems.

What Do Chiropractors Treat?

Chiropractors are experts trained in the neuromusculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat disorders of the spine and other body joints by adjusting (a precise method of realigning body structure, particularly the spinal vertebrae) the spinal column or through other corrective techniques. Chiropractors provide conservative management of neuromusculoskeletal disorders. They also advise patients on corrective exercises, lifestyle and nutrition. Chiropractic has been found especially helpful in correcting the following conditions:

  • Headaches
  • Backache
  • Acute or Chronic Back pain
  • Neck pain and stiffness
  • Pain between shoulders
  • Pain in hips, legs or knees
  • Pain, numbness in hands, feet
  • Pain in shoulders or arms
  • General aches and pains
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Prevention of Migraine
  • Tennis elbow

Every function in your entire body is under the control of the nervous system and subluxations can interfere with this control, so chiropractic is often very helpful in correcting many other conditions. Only a Chiropractor is qualified to determine if your condition can be helped by chiropractic methods.

Of course, if yours is not a Chiropractic case, your Chiropractor will tell you so and refer you to another specialist.

Are Adjustments Painful?

Most spinal adjustments are not painful at all and, as a matter of fact, patients feel very good and often pain free almost immediately. Adjustments are also very safe with no harmful or dangerous side effects. If you are sore or tender to touch then there may be some short lived increase in the sensation as contact is made and the adjustment is given. You can be sure that the great benefits you will receive from a Chiropractic adjustments will more than offset any momentary discomfort you may experience.
